Places to Stay

When visiting Saltaire there are two accommodations that are within walking distance of all the interesting things to see and do.

The Abbey Lodge Hotel on Kirkgate in Shipley is only 0.1 of a mile from the centre of Saltaire and a short walk from the train station. The hotel is directly across from St. Paul’s Church and was once a Vicarage that belonged to the church. The Abby Lodge is situated with views of Crow Ghyll Park.

The Lodge has recently been remodeled and the ambience and service here is more personal than that of a hotel but more professional than that of the typical bed and breakfast. The facility is non-smoking but some smoking rooms are available and most rooms are en-suite. A variety of rooms are available like single, twin, double, and queen size bedrooms as well as deluxe Jacuzzi rooms.

Evening meals are served in the dining room and the room price also includes either a full English breakfast with fruit, cereal, and juice, a breakfast-to-go, or Continental breakfast.

This cosy little hotel with 14 rooms is perfectly located for a visit to Saltaire and Bronteland. The rooms are comfortable and warm and have everything that someone on holiday or business may need and at a reasonable price. The price of the room includes a traditional English breakfast plus there are many pubs and restaurants close by for your other meals. The Homeleigh is only .3 mile from the Saltaire village centre and very close to the train station as well as the motorways.
